Starting on Tuesday, July 6, Schuler will present the individual solutions from the "Digital Suite". Participation is free of charge
Göppingen, July 5, 2021 – How can you prevent in advance that an incorrectly inserted component or other foreign object damages the die of a press and shuts down production? This is exactly what Schuler project manager Christoph Pölzl will explain in the free online seminar on "Visual Die Protection" in English-language on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 2 pm CET. A second event in German is planned for Thursday, October 7.
The first seminar marks the start of a whole series in which Schuler experts will present the individual solutions from the "Digital Suite" for networking forming technology. Schuler process manager Manuel Stöwer will show how the "DigiSim" solution developed by Schuler for this use case works on Thursday, August 12. Here is just a taster: simulating the part run on the computer not only minimizes the risk of failure, but can also significantly increase output.
Dr. Stefanie Apprich will demonstrate "Cloud Solutions" on Tuesday, September 14: They can be used, for example, to retrieve data on press forces and stroke rates, which provide indications of incorrectly positioned dies, for example. Cooling and lubrication circuits, temperatures and system pressures as well as power consumption are also recorded and visualized.
“Track & Trace" on Tuesday, September 21, with Dr. Robert Vollmer will focus on how efficiency in the press shop can be increased through end-to-end material and parts tracking. Such a system is already in operation at the Smart Press Shop, the joint venture between Porsche and Schuler. Each individual part is given a unique identifier and tracked during the production process. The data acquired includes the processed starting material (coil), measured and process values in the blanking line and the press line, and quality characteristics.
If a press comes to an unforeseen standstill, fast assistance is required. With the help of "Schuler Connect", service experts can immediately gain an impression of the condition of the line and solve the problem together with the customer or, if necessary, take further steps directly. The online seminar with Ernst Schwoshuber and Stephan Czwick on Tuesday, September 28, will provide all the necessary information.
Christoph Pölzl will conclude the series with "Visual Die Protection" on Thursday, October 7. Participation in the seminars, most of which are held in English, is free of charge. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions in a discussion session afterwards. Registration is possible shortly beforehand at www.schulergroup.com/application. The seminars will be announced on Schuler's LinkedIn channel in good time prior to the event: www.schulergroup.com/linkedin.
