United Grinding has introduced the favorit CNC universal cylindrical grinding machine for the individual and batch production of short to long workpieces.

It has a distance between centres of 15.7/25.6/40/63 in. and a centre height of 6.9 in. It can grind workpieces with a maximum weight of 330 lbs.

The cylindrical grinding machine can be used in universal applications and uses the StuderWIN user interface and StuderPictogramming software. It has a Granitan S103 mineral-casting machine base.

It also can be adapted to other grinding tasks using various accessory kits such as in-process gauging, balancing system, contact detection, and length positioning.

The system has an optional wheelhead with a right or left grinding wheel and an internal grinding attachment. It also performs automatic swivelling with 3-degree Hirth serration.

External and internal grinding is possible in one clamping, the company states.

A C axis on the work head can perform thread and form grinding.
